Davido’s aide, Damilare Aladegbola, popularly called Dre, wants his phone back. He says it was stolen at the wedding of rapper Zlatan Ibile and his partner, Davita Lamai, and he is offering a cash reward.
Dre made the appeal in an Instagram post on Monday. Writing in pidgin, he asked whoever took the phone to return it. “Abeg return am, I go give you money,” he said.
He also criticised the catering staff at the event. According to Dre, some waitresses ask guests whether they have finished eating so they can clear the plates. He claimed this is how phones left on tables go missing. He called it a pattern and warned that he would lash out at any waitress who tries it with him again.
Zlatan and Davita held their traditional wedding in Lagos over the weekend. Celebrities, fans and well-wishers attended. Davido led the groomsmen. The groom had earlier shared photos from the ceremony on his Instagram page with the caption “IT’S TIME TO MARRY.”
Dre has not said what kind of phone it was or how much he is offering. Neither the couple nor the event organisers have commented on the claim.
