Hope Uzodimma Swears In 332 Local Government and Ward Prosperity Coordinators to Boost Grassroots Governance

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has officially sworn in 332 Prosperity Coordinators across the state’s Local Government Areas (LGAs) and political wards.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the Sam Mbakwe Executive Council Chambers in Owerri. It marks a significant effort by the administration to deepen community engagement and deliver the dividends of democracy directly to the people.

What Are the Roles of the Prosperity Coordinators?

The newly inaugurated team comprises:

• 27 Local Government Area Coordinators

• 305 Ward Prosperity Coordinators

Governor Uzodimma emphasized that the appointees were chosen strictly on merit. Their primary responsibility is to act as administrative and communication bridges between the state government and citizens at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the ceremony through his Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike Nwachuku, Governor Uzodimma urged the coordinators to treat the concerns of their constituents as their own.

Governor Uzodimma outlined several core objectives for the new team:

To ensure seamless operations, the Imo State Government pledged to provide necessary logistical support and resources to all 332 coordinators.
