Nollywood has achieved another historic milestone. The Premiere of Black Market officially set a new Guinness World Record for the largest open-air movie viewing in a single location, pulling in an astonishing crowd of over 51,000 attendees.

The record-breaking event took place at the iconic Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Onikan, Lagos. It surpassed the previous record of 43,624 attendees set back in 2015.

Celebrated actor and producer Femi Adebayo joined fellow industry giants to commemorate the achievement, taking to social media to reflect on what this moment means for African cinema.

Taking to his official Instagram page, Femi Adebayo expressed his pride in the overwhelming turnout and praised the creative minds behind the monumental project:

“A few good people… 51,000+ of us! What a beautiful sight as @noraawolowo, @rixelstudios, and the entire team came together to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest open-air movie viewing of #BlackMarket in one location.”
