Tragedy in Custody: Blessing CEO Loses Son While Remanded in Kirikiri Prison

Controversial Nigerian self-acclaimed relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has suffered a devastating personal loss while in custody. The media personality has lost her second son, Bryan, a month after being remanded in Kirikiri Prison.

The tragic news, which circulated as online rumors earlier in the week, was officially confirmed on Friday evening by Amira Agiye, the CEO of the Isaamira Love Foundation, who spoke on Blessing’s behalf to seek public assistance.

Public Appeal and Bail Requirements

In a public broadcast, Amira Agiye appealed to Nigerians for compassion and financial assistance to help secure the release of the grieving mother. She highlighted that Blessing CEO requires ₦20 million to satisfy her bail conditions, alongside ₦36 million to settle outstanding claims connected to the complainants in her ongoing case.

Blessing CEO Speaks from Custody

In a recorded voice conversation released during the appeal, an emotional Blessing CEO confirmed the passing of her child from inside the correctional facility:

“My second son, Bryan, was full of life. While in custody, I lost Bryan. I pray this turns out positive so I can leave this place, pick up the pieces of my life and pay my respects to him.”

Background on the Legal Case

Blessing CEO was remanded in Kirikiri Prison in connection with an alleged ₦69.15 million property fraud trial.

Although she was granted bail in July 2026 set at ₦20 million with two sureties in like sum, each required to show proof of three years’ deposits valued at ₦20 million, she has been unable to fulfill the bail criteria. As a result, she remains in custody two months after the ruling, where she received the news of her son’s passing.
