Victory Life Bible Church Backs Members’ Businesses With New Empowerment Round

Date:

Victory Life Bible Church International says it will keep supporting members who run viable businesses or have solid business ideas. Its lead pastor, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, made the pledge on Monday.

The church’s media office issued the statement. It follows the presentation of a new batch of beneficiaries under the church’s entrepreneurship programme.

More Than Money

Achudume said the programme does more than hand out funds. It aims to build a lasting system. Beneficiaries should grow their businesses and then create openings for others.

He said the goal is to help members expand, earn financial independence and build steady livelihoods.

“The church recognises entrepreneurship as an important avenue for empowering individuals, creating employment opportunities and improving the economic well-being of families,” he said.

He thanked the church’s Entrepreneurship Support and Development Committee (ESDC) for finding and backing deserving members. He also promised to keep looking for practical ways to turn members’ skills and ideas into lasting enterprises.

Earlier Beneficiaries Show Progress

ESDC Chairman Wole Elusakin spoke at the presentation. He is also the chief executive officer of Pomegranate Nigeria Limited.

He said earlier beneficiaries have done well. Some put the support into their businesses and made clear progress. Others repaid their commitments in full. A few have grown so much that they no longer need extra loans.

“Some have fully paid back, while others have grown their businesses to the extent that they no longer need to take additional loans,” he said.

That success has opened space for new entrepreneurs, he added. He also thanked Achudume for backing the project.

Who Benefits This Time

Elusakin named the new beneficiaries as Stephen Temitayo of Ojulowo Tailor, Adebisi Oluwakemi, Jeremiah Alade and Mo Glow Bubbles.

Millions of naira have already been approved for some of them, he said. The committee will consider more funding after it reviews the relevant proposals.

Advice Comes With the Grant

Money is only part of the package, Elusakin said. The committee will review each proposal and offer advisory support to match.

“Beyond the grant, submitted proposals will be reviewed with advisory support,” he said. The aim is to make sure beneficiaries have both funds and the guidance to use them well.

He urged members with viable business plans to apply. The committee will judge each application on its business prospects and likely impact.
