The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos has officially welcomed Brandon “CG” Hudspeth as its newly appointed Consul General. Returning to Nigeria, Hudspeth brings a depth of diplomatic experience, strategic leadership, and a proven history of fostering international cooperation across emerging markets and dynamic global hubs.
His return comes at a pivotal juncture in U.S.–Nigeria relations, highlighting a shared commitment to strengthening trade partnerships, economic innovation, cultural exchange, and institutional development.
A Familiar Face with Global Experience
Consul General Hudspeth is no stranger to Nigeria’s economic center. He previously served at the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos as the Political-Economic Section Chief, where he actively engaged with business leaders, civil society organizations, and local institutions to drive bilateral trade and democratic governance.
Prior to his re-appointment to Nigeria, Hudspeth served as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Namibia, helping steer diplomatic and economic policy initiatives in Southern Africa.
