INAUGURATION OF WOMEN FOR 35% NIGER STATE CHAPTER
Today marks another historic milestone in the journey toward inclusive governance, women empowerment, and the advancement of affirmative action in Nigeria as we proudly inaugurate the Niger State Chapter of Women for 35%.
This significant inauguration also coincides with the one-year anniversary celebration of the AJU Morgan Elumelu Foundation, a platform that has remained steadfast in promoting advocacy, social impact, women inclusion, leadership development, and grassroots mobilization across Nigeria. This moment is therefore not just symbolic, but a reflection of one year of resilience, sacrifice, growth, and unwavering commitment to building a better future for women and the next generation.
Since May 22nd, when this movement gained renewed strength and national direction, we have remained committed to building formidable structures across Nigeria. We have tirelessly recruited women from all walks of life and established active leadership structures in local governments across the federation by appointing coordinators, ambassadors, mobilizers, advocates, and grassroots leaders dedicated to the cause of women inclusion.
Across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, our women have gone into communities, villages, wards, and local government areas to amplify the voices of women and demand greater participation in governance and decision-making processes. We understand that true democracy cannot thrive when women remain underrepresented.
Our mission goes beyond rhetoric. We have continued to engage and liaise with state governments, institutions, stakeholders, and policymakers because we recognize that without deliberate policy implementation and institutional support, meaningful progress cannot be achieved.
The journey has not been easy. Breaking barriers that have existed for decades comes with resistance, discouragement, and challenges. However, despite these obstacles, Nigerian women are rising again. They are awakening to the responsibility before them. They now understand that the struggle for inclusion is not just for today, but for generations of women yet unborn who deserve equal opportunities, representation, and a voice in shaping the future of our nation.
Today, we proudly welcome the Niger State Chapter of Women for 35% and celebrate the courageous women who have stepped forward to serve humanity, strengthen democracy, and champion the cause of affirmative action.
As we commemorate our anniversary and celebrate one impactful year of the AJU Morgan Elumelu Foundation, this inauguration stands as proof that the movement is growing stronger, louder, and more determined than ever before.
To the women of Niger State, this is your time. Your voices matter. Your participation matters. Your leadership matters.
Together, we will continue to organize, mobilize, advocate, and push until women occupy their rightful place in governance and nation-building.
Long live Women for 35%.
Long live the AJU Morgan Elumelu Foundation.
Long live Niger State.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
