AMB. AJU ELUMELU-JAMES IN AN ENGAGING DIALOGUE WITH JEFFERY UZOHO OF CHANNELS TELEVISION ON THE PROGRAMME LUNCH TIME POLITICS.

Date:

It was an honour to be featured on Channels Television, one of Nigeria’s foremost broadcast institutions, where I engaged in a thought-provoking conversation with Jeffery Uzoho on his programme Lunch Time Politics.

As the Convener of Women for 35%, an initiative of the AJU Morgan Elumelu Foundation, I had the privilege of shedding light on a cause that remains both urgent and transformative. Women for 35% is committed to amplifying the voices of women and advancing advocacy for greater representation in both elective and appointed leadership positions across Nigeria.

While the resolve of women continues to strengthen, it is undeniable that systemic barriers persist, often impeding meaningful progress. The conversation was both incisive and rigorous, as Jeffery Uzoho demonstrated remarkable depth in interrogating the pathways through which this initiative can translate aspiration into measurable outcomes particularly in increasing the number of women represented in the House of Representatives, the Senate, and across all spheres of influence.

This engagement marks yet another step in the ongoing pursuit of equity, inclusion, and the rightful place of women in leadership. The journey continues with clarity, courage, and collective purpose.
