Pastor Bolaji Idowu Addresses Arrest:
In a swift response to circulating allegations, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC), has openly addressed claims of his involvement in real estate fraud and money laundering. During his widely-followed Next Level Prayer program on Wednesday morning, Pastor Idowu categorically denied the accusations, emphasizing his non-involvement in real estate activities or fraudulent financial dealings.
“Over the last 24 hours, there has been a lot of news about me on social media. I just want to state some facts,” Pastor Idowu said. “I heard that I was involved in real estate. Firstly, I do not have any property in Nigeria. The only property I have in Nigeria is one everyone knows. Secondly, I do not sell or buy properties. I am not in that business.” He further invited public scrutiny into his financial dealings, asserting, “My accounts are public accounts. Go and check if I ever received billions into my accounts.”
The allegations stem from reports suggesting that Pastor Idowu was questioned by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja over alleged financial crimes. Sources claimed that the investigation was linked to activities of one of his pastors, who was allegedly involved in a real estate scheme, with funds reportedly traced to accounts associated with Pastor Idowu and HICC.
Pastor Idowu, who founded HICC in 2003 and has spearheaded initiatives like the Next Level Prayer Conference, maintained his innocence, reiterating that his financial dealings are transparent and above board. As the situation unfolds, the public awaits further updates, with many commending his swift response and transparency.
