The AJU Morgan Elumelu Foundation (AMEF), through its national advocacy platform, the Women for 35% Initiative, is proud to announce the appointment of Ambassador Ladi Jethro Akun (NCA, CCrFA, FIFS, CCFE) as the new Women for 35% Plateau State Coordinator.

Amb. Ladi Jethro Akun is a highly accomplished Chartered Forensic Accountant, Forensic Auditor, and Intelligence Investigator, known for her unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and national development. Her professional journey reflects a rare blend of technical precision, humanitarian service, and peacebuilding expertise.

As a UN Eminent Ambassador and Peacekeeper, Amb. Ladi has dedicated her career to promoting peace, inclusion, institutional integrity, and women’s leadership across communities and governance systems. Her advocacy for women as catalysts of transformation has inspired countless women across Plateau and beyond to pursue leadership and public service.

A Proven Leader in Strategy, Governance, and Peacebuilding

A respected political influencer and grassroots strategist, Amb. Ladi served on the Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 elections, where she contributed her expertise to political coordination, civic mobilization, and community engagement.

Her leadership aligns strongly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), reflecting her long-standing commitment to strengthening governance systems and empowering women at every level of society.
